activities, represents its members in legislative and regulatory initiatives, and provides
technological training and reference tools to members on advances within the Wildlife
management industry.

necessary to modify the habitat so they do not become a future problem, and of the wildlife
management industry in general and the products and services provided by qualified and
licensed WMPs. The MAPAC website is designed to help consumers find qualified, licensed and

Legislative and Regulatory Advocacy
MAPAC regularly meets with state legislators and regulatory agencies to facilitate a greater
understanding of wildlife control and the wildlife management industry issues. Over the
years MAPAC has been instrumental in working with the Massachusetts division of fisheries &
wildlife to create regulations that are fair and workable and to help protect the public by
encouraging enforcement and accountability.
Additionally, MAPAC promoted regulation to increase certification and training requirements
for wildlife control operators and It also promotes the use of Integrated Pest Management
(IPM), a process that goes beyond traditional wildlife management techniques, in order to
change the reason wildlife may be encroaching on a structure
Technology Training and Reference Tools
MAPAC offers its membership of wildlife management professionals the opportunity to network
and share ideas at state level meetings, workshops, trade shows and internet forums. These
venues allow WMPs to expand their knowledge of wildlife control industry regulations and
protocols, new techniques, and advanced workplace safety standards
